Who We Are

OVERVIEW

Epic Adventure is a state-licensed camp, operated by Pathway Church and based on the campus of The Master’s School in Simsbury, CT. Campers are led by high-energy, outrageously fun counselors and the camp is directed by experienced, licensed professionals with years of experience leading and educating kids. We are committed to providing a safe, engaging, and epic experience for campers.

our epic journey

Epic Adventure launched in 2023 with two weeks—one elementary and the other middle school—and has grown steadily each year in both depth and reach.
In 2026, Epic will host eight camps over four weeks, offering programming for both age groups every week, so families with multiple children can participate together. This year also marks the launch of Epic Sports Camps, bringing focused training, quality coaching, and intentional development to athletes of all skill levels.
With new themes, activities, and off-site experiences each week, campers can attend multiple sessions and enjoy something different every time they come.

staffing & Safety

All Camp Directors and Assistant Directors complete the required Connecticut state licensing process and are certified by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood to direct youth camps. Medical oversight is provided by a licensed Camp Physician (on call), who oversees a team of nurses and/or a Director of First Aid.
Our camp leadership team includes 20+ trained counselors, two summer interns, and counselors-in-training (CITs), all working under a team of camp directors and assistant directors. A staff-to-camper ratio of 1:6 is maintained at all times. All staff members undergo a background check, reference check, interview process, and receive training in camper supervision, safety procedures, and age-appropriate care across a variety of camp scenarios.
Adventure activities for grades 6–8 are conducted under the supervision of licensed third-party companies and qualified professionals approved to operate those activities. Detailed descriptions of activities and any required waivers will be shared in final pre-camp communications or as plans are updated. Transportation to off-site locations occurs in state-approved vehicles (ie. buses). While we plan carefully, occasional adjustments may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions or changes with off-site partners. Families will be notified with reasonable notice if changes occur.
